What happened next? Those ecominded Lutz & Patmos gals turned out a super-soft collection of Desmond Tutu-inspired casual wear. The focal point? The archbishop’s stylish fuschia robe and jazzy rounded collar (not to mention his role as moral muse). From there, the luxe knitters went to work on color-reversible tees, slouchy bottoms, and featherweight cashmere scarves in tones reminiscent of South African landscapes (persimmon, rich creams, grays).

Always the humanitarians, L & P will be donating a large portion of sales to the Desmond Tutu Peace Centre and the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust, whose artisans handcrafted the accompanying bead necklaces.

We’re sure you haven’t heard that one before.
