Hats off to milliner Laura Kranitz. Friday night, her whimsical headdresses took center stage at Chestnuts and Papaya. Part Phillip Treacy, part Elsa Schiaparelli, each topper is handmade with vintage and vintage-inspired details (mink, rhinestones, flowers crafted from old silk). The biggest head turner: a sequined white bird cap with a single towering branch. Very Dali. Guests scored chic mini feather clips in black. And chocolate-covered coconut bites by Arthur B. were a treat.
