We sure are split on what’s quintessentially New York. Pizza or bagels? Mets or Yankees? Renting or buying?
For both camps of real estate-minded city dwellers, a Welybom mural makes decorating for kids a cinch.
Instead of mass-produced catalog prints or — the horror — bare walls, let former graphic designer and founder Lisa Williams paint something suited for your tot and your space. If a meeting with your broker is in the not-so-distant future, Williams will stretch an enormous canvas onto a frame to cover the whole wall when hung. If a more permanent installation fits your digs, give her one week’s access to the room and a mural is there to stay.
Her animal-centric repertoire forgoes cutesy cowboys and creepy clowns in favor of submarine-driving penguins, paper-airplane-riding pups and cats, and piglets swirling about on chandeliers and pearls. And no matter the medium or commission, Williams uses kid-friendly acrylic paints you can clean with a sponge and water.
Now that’s something we can all get behind.
