If wearing four T-shirts is your idea of layering, you’re probably not from here.
Austin-based designer Michelle Weisman dismantles the assumption that warm-blooded folk just don’t understand cooler climates: Her fall line is full of feminine separates that are perfectly appropriate for plummeting temps.
Weisman’s collection nods to the ’70s and classic American styles; her one-of-a-kind patterns impart a worldly, tribal feel.
The navy Emilee dress is embellished with delicate, ikat-inspired brushstrokes, a forgivable elastic waist, and smart pockets. Janice, a tulip-patterned frock, ties in the back. (Both look great with tights and a pair of boots.) Dual-pocketed, blousy Audrey is a cardigan’s perfect mate. Throw on high-waisted wool Vanessa pants, and you’re golden.
Everything is made in the U.S.
Which really warms the heart.
