Alder Ready-to-Wear and Accessories

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

alder boutique new york!

The season of one more glass/slice/moral indiscretion has given way to the season of gym/gym/apology emails.

Go for seconds one last time with Alder, the sophomore line from borough dweller Nina Zilka and New Jersey native David Krause.

Since putting the kibosh on their first label, The Twentyten, the duo has turned to separates and accessories that are as easy to wear as they are on the environment.

Move to mod in a blue hemp-cotton-blend turtleneck dress (matching cap available) or color-blocked oxford shirt. We love cleaned-up ’90s grunge tartan pants and circle skirts and a plaid wool jacket that doubles as a vest (just zip off the leather sleeves).

The entire collection, including pocketed totes, snake-print silk scarves, python card holders, and ties, comes out of Brooklyn’s Pratt Design Incubator. Jewelry — chunky from Bond Hardware and delicate from designer Robin Mollicone — rounds out the line.

Order both. No judgments.

Available online at alderboutique.com, $28-$769.
