Cover new ground at Greg Atkinson’s just-opened Bainbridge Island bistro, Restaurant Marché.
The accomplished chef (Canlis) and consultant culls ingredients for the contemporary Northwest menu from nearby markets and growers (Heyday Farm, Port Madison Farms, Butler Green Farms) as well as the pages of his own cookbooks (he’s published seven to date).
Settle into a comfy banquette for updated versions of classic French dishes (roast duckling, trout meunière) and toast to the 60-bottle wine list courtesy of Shayn Bjornholm (former Canlis wine director, current education director for the Court of Master Sommeliers). Also at the bar: cocktails, beer, cider, tea, natural sodas, and Caffé Vita espresso.
