What: Montreal-based designer Julia Vallelunga makes her NYC trunk show debut with a collection ($120-$225) crafted from gemstones, ribbon, and brass findings.
Why: She was the first jeweler at last month’s Open-See to be invited to display her wares. Be the first to wear the Frida Kahlo-inspired Santa Fe (pictured).

Bread Pavilion
Herald the return of the New Amsterdam Market with a bevy of loaves from fourteen city spots (Hot Bread Kitchen, Sullivan Street Bakery, Bien Cuit, and more), made with locally sourced flour.
Why: Each baker leaves behind 30 creations to be donated to City Harvest.
When: Sun., 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Zero + Maria Cornejo Sample Sale
Take up to 70 percent off the designer’s ready-to-wear clothing, shoes, and accessories from past seasons, as well as a small batch of one-off archived samples.

Mexican designers riff on traditional tropes from south of the border for the MoMA-exclusive line (sombrero-turned-ceramic centerpiece, avocado tea towels, a wallet made from lotería tickets).
Why: Whip up some guac in a volcanic-stone mortar and pestle for next Saturday’s festivities.

Hester Street Fair
Food vendors (Luke’s Lobster, Pies ’n’ Thighs, Prohibition Bakery) peddle their fare alongside indie brands (Wink & Flip, Visantine Collective, Hazel Village) at the third incarnation of the LES artisanal hub.
Why: Rock out to DJ Bubbles’s synth set, learn a pose or two ($1 each) from Compass Yoga, and rub elbows with our own SuChin Pak.
