True story: A rich man paralyzed from a paragliding accident finds his wings in a brawny thief from the projects. In what is now the second-highest, non-English moneymaker, Philippe and Driss color us happy with their friendship reminiscent of Hoke Colburn and Miss Daisy, Milo and Otis — heck, even Pauly D and Vinny. Inspirational, yes, but the feel-good French comedy has edge — and opens with what else — a high-speed car chase to the tune of Earth, Wind & Fire.
It’s like: The Diving Bell and the Butterfly meets Pretty Woman.
