Meet the Editor: NYC's Jordan Blumberg

Getting to know her

If you were stepping up to the plate at Yankee Stadium, what would be your at-bat song?
Picking my batting song for Yankee Stadium would be almost as difficult as telling Jeter I was replacing him as the leadoff hitter. That said, I’d go with “The Band Marches On,” by Ghostland Observatory.

There’s also a mixed CD I burned in high school (R.I.P. free Napster) with everything from “House of the Rising Sun” and Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart” to “Paul Revere” and “Still Fly” by the Big Tymers. I could hand it to the announcer midseason just to keep things interesting.

What’s the worst haircut you ever had?
When I was 5 or so, I decided the space underneath our breakfast table was a salon. Mainert the cat’s haircut wasn’t terrible, but the twenty avant-garde layers I gave myself were. There was also one point in college my hair was roughly the color of red velvet cake.

What would you call your memoirs?
