Charlie’s Green Lake

What: Charlie’s Buns ’n’ Stuff food truck launches a Green Lake concession stand for the summer.

Why: Mushroom burgers, cheesesteak sandwiches, vegan hot dogs, and other all-American fare for an after-walk snack. 

When: Opens Fri. Daily, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Louder than Bombs
What: Peruse colorful paintings by Portland artist Marie Koetje and L.A.-based Mark Schoening.
Why: Oil, acrylic, enamel, and spray paint seemingly explode on canvas.
When: Thru July 28.

Pan Pacific Patio Launch Party

What: Celebrate the sun’s emerging with an extended happy hour on the lobby bar’s patio.
Why: Pacific Rim-inspired cocktails (Eco Mojito, Bangkok Cooler), lite bites, and DJ-spun music. Oh, and that view of the Space Needle.

Sharma Shields

What: The Spokane writer reads from her debut book, Favorite Monster.
