Not to sound like your mother, but if all your friends bought The Mother Company’s latest DVD, The Friendship Show, would you buy it, too?
We hope so.
The second installment of Ruby’s Studio has finally arrived, and it was worth the wait (the first episode, “The Feelings Show,” launched in 2010). Darling, zestful host Ruby returns, along with a chatty pack of kidlets, and together they explore the many facets of friendship in an entertaining 40-minute event.
Beautifully animated segments (stop-motion mixed with CG) thoughtfully cover themes such as making friends, bullying, empathy, and compromise. Ruby gets crafty with a DIY friendship tree, and Pop-Up Parenting (a bonus DVD feature) gives mom and dad worthwhile insights from child development expert Dr. Robyn Silverman.
Think Mary Poppins, Free to Be You and Me, and a parent/teacher conference rolled into one.
C’mon, all your friends are doing it.
