Designer nail decals. Jason Bateman. Postmod states of arrested development agree with you.
Which is precisely why you’ll crush on State, a new line of buy-one-give-one charitable backpacks.
Nonprofit kids’ camp founders Jacqueline and Scot Tatelman launched the line with a mission of outfitting American children in underfunded communities with much-needed school essentials and inspiring them to further achieve.
Choose from one of two canvas designs (Garfield, a cheery, color-blocked kids’ pack; or the laptop-sleeved Durham style in red, navy, or black) knowing State will donate an identical bag to a child in need. Fashion scholars can graduate to the leather-strapped Mercer, the purchase of which helps fund ongoing bag drops throughout the year.
State kicked things off with a 46-bag donation in the Hurricane Sandy-torn Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn last Friday. Further drops at other Sandy-affected areas are up next.
Totes awesome.
Available at statebags.com, $55-$225.
