Call us grumpy, but Chicago’s nickname — the Second City — is kind of a backhanded compliment.
Good news: Certain bigwigs think we’re tops. Today in Lincoln Park, the first-ever Nike Training Club (NTC) opens its doors.
The bilevel space serves two purposes. Browse retail on the first floor (exclusive local artist collaborations are in the works). Hit up the second for what we consider the raison d’etre: a sprawling, sunlit studio offering free, ass-kicking classes.
Seven days a week, a roster of trainers from studios like Barre Bee Fit, Tru Harmony, and On Your Mark lead barre, yoga, run club, high-energy boot camps, Nike+ Run Club, and NTC class for twenty or fewer people.
Smart scheduling makes it easy to dip in before or after work. Classes start next Monday.
And on February 7 at 6:30 p.m., an NTC class is reserved for DailyCandy readers only. R.S.V.P. ASAP.
You could be the first.
