In your sartorial dreams, your closet is a Zen haven of quality pieces with clean lines, a neutral palette, and luxurious fabrics. (Give or take some Pendleton prints and candy-colored jeans.)
Local line Wyatt Orr gives you an excuse to seek that enlightenment. Created by Liise Wyatt and Karly Orr, design school buddies from New York Fashion Academy in Ballard, the go-anywhere pieces expertly mix materials and manage to drape just right.
The spring collection pairs the unexpected — think intricately pleated cotton, silk chiffon, and butter-soft leather. The Odi dress is a study in leather and silk with an asymmetrical hem, and the leather Kabuki jacket with three-quarter sleeves is, as Rachel Zoe would say, everything. (Literally, we want to wear it with everything.)
The pieces debut at Les Amis this week.
Just in time to add some yin to your yang.
Available at Les Amis, 3420 Evanston Avenue North (206-632-2877). To see the collection, go to wyattorr.com.
