Forget the clown, the magician, and the face painter. Book a superhero.
To the rescue: The Birthday Party Project.
The nonprofit throws birthday bashes for North Texas homeless children at Family Gateway and Genesis Women’s Shelter. Three times a month, it toasts birthday boys and girls with cake, balloons, snacks, games, a wrapped present, and photos to remember the big day.
Here’s where you come in: Gift your time as a cheerful face in the crowd (the next chance is this Thursday) or a piece of your paycheck to cover costs. You can also donate food, unwrapped toys, and party supplies such as plates, napkins, cups, and candles.
And really save the day.
