The Right Accent

Soor Ploom launches

We’re suckers for an accent — add the right inflection and even the simplest saying can make us grin from ear to ear.

Kids’ clothing designer Marissa Buick feels the same way. She named her sweet new children’s line, Soor Ploom, for the way Scots pronounce “sour plum” (her two daughters are half-Scottish).

soor ploom!

The name sets just the right tone for Buick’s dreamy collection of rompers, bloomers, playsuits, and peasant tops. Designed for ease and comfort, the pieces are made in New York from hand-selected, high-quality cottons and linens.

We can’t help but think of thigh rolls peeking out of the playsuit as our wee one kicks in the grass on a picnic playdate. Alliteration makes us smile almost as much as an accent does.
