A Little Bundle’s Special Deliveries

Think Birchbox for babies with an artisanal, indie twist

When we learned that Finnish moms get a care package from the government packed with baby essentials, we felt a little cheated. (All we get are jury summonses and — if we’re lucky — a Diapers.com coupon or two.)

But Annie Lin was moved to action. Inspired by the Scandi custom (and beauty pioneer Birchbox), the former fashion vet created mom-and-baby subscription service A Little Bundle this summer.

Though not a novel concept, this one’s more special than the rest. Lin scours the globe for beautiful, functional, non-clutter-producing products to make life sweeter for moms and their 2-and-under kids.

Our first box came with delights like a hand-knit stuffed animal from Denmark, heavenly organic soap from Portugal, and a wood and crochet teether from the nether regions of Etsy. Everything was artfully packaged and something we hadn’t seen before.

Lin customizes each box according to information you supply (such as mom’s clothing size and baby’s age and gender), which makes gift-giving a thoughtful yet effortless experience.

You know, kind of like an afternoon at the DMV.

Available at alittlebundle.com. Choose from one-, three-, or six-month subscriptions starting at $36 per month.
