Party People: Nicole Richie

The petite starlet’s sultry look

After abandoning her act as Paris Hilton’s grungy, wisecracking sidekick on The Simple Life, Nicole Richie cleaned up — her look, not her mouth (thank god).

Lionel’s little girl continues to make waves — mostly of the red-carpet variety — and we can’t help but envy her sultry, shimmery style. Here we break it down for our own party purposes and yours.

To get Richie’s smoky brown peepers, apply champagne cream shadow ($20) all over the lids up to the brow bone. Layer golden chrome in the center for depth, then smudge taupe on the outer corners, making sure not to go past the end of the brows. With deep, chocolaty bronze, draw a line along the top and bottom lashes and diffuse it with a small brush.

Fake an Angeleno glow with peach cream blush ($13) on the apples of the cheeks and a swipe of long-wearing bronzer ($30) all over the face, neck, and shoulders.

Nude gloss ($18) is subtly seductive.

It’s your turn for the spotlight.
