No, wait. No scarf. Half scarf. Skinny scarf. Yes, this just in; Sources close to the neckline report that this season, fashion arbiters have deemed anything wider than nine inches passe. And if you were thinking pashmina, oh…what decade are you living in?

Indeed the neckerchief has gotten a makeover, and it’s long, skinny, almost serpentine, and darn chic. Our favorite is a sparkly scarf found at Tracey Feith. (Twenty bucks!) Or for a cheaper alternative, try the street vendors on Canal Street. Whether they fit the bill is up to you.
