What to Watch Tonight

Binge on “Bron/Broen”

You could spend the evening lost in endless quarters of college basketball.

Or you could binge-watch the original Bridge (a.k.a. Bron/Broen), now streaming on Hulu. The series originated in Sweden before migrating to a slightly less riveting English-language upfit.

A few quick facts to get you started: Detectives Saga Norén and Martin Rohde are investigating a body bisecting the border of two countries. The locale is the Øresund Bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark. The top half of the body belongs to a Swedish politician, the bottom to a Danish prostitute.

Swedish film company Filmlance, whose producers were tired of the majority of their prime-time entertainment coming from Danish producers (hint, hint), is responsible for the riveting crime drama. Slam dunk, Swedes: Bron/Broen now has a BAFTA, a third season in the works, and 134 countries broadcasting it.

So hop to it. March Madness isn’t for another few weeks anyway.

Cross that bridge when you have to.
