What? Me? Moody?
Fish-Oil Pills as Mood Stabilizers

Some call you moody. You prefer “deep feeler.”
So you’re not exactly even-tempered. Is that a crime? Big whoop. It’s not like you’re evil … all of the time.
Okay. So maybe, upon reflection, you could use something to soften the edges. It might interest you to know then that preliminary studies indicate that fish-oil supplements can help. Turns out those much-touted omega-3 fatty acids, in addition to being good for your heart, are mood stabilizers as well. Now. Don’t dump the Prozac just yet. Fish-oil pills are no substitute for your tried-and-true prescribed meds, but rather a valuable supplement. (And, of course, if you have any unusual health needs or problems, talk to an expert. Dammit, Jim, we’re a daily trend report, not a doctor!) Basically, while we can’t guarantee that it’ll calm your nerves completely, there’s no harm in giving it a try, right?
A word of advice, though: Take it with food or OJ. Swallowed on an empty stomach, it can lead to a, you know, not-so-fresh feeling that’s been known to drive people away.
And wasn’t the whole point to stop doing that?
