You’re not just florally challenged.
You’re arrangementally retarded. You could make a dozen roses look bad. You’ve been known to frighten children with your nosegays. You think a dahlia is something found on the human body.
No big deal. That’s what florists are for. Good ones, anyway. At Floral Rush, a small, beautiful shop hidden on East Melrose, you’ll find a gold mine of amazing blooms and bright ideas. The location is so unassuming you’d never guess that owner Nelson Hiltner did all the flowers for the local Louis Vuitton stores or for Dave Grohl’s wedding last summer. Once inside, you’ll find that Hiltner’s an expert at helping hapless customers dream up the perfect designs for any occasion, be it a wedding or housewarming. His specialty is architectural arrangements of unusual flora, like seedpods or bamboo, that look great in mid-century settings. Of course, he’s more than happy to work with you to match the style of the location or event in question.
So you won’t have to rely on your own taste for anything. Thank heavens.
