Hot Tee

In the beginning, there was Hanes.

And what simple times those were. Since then the mantle of the desirable T-shirt has been taken up by Three Dots, Juicy, Michael Stars, Velvet, Jet, James Perse, Splendid, American Apparel, and C&C … to name but a few.

So it continues. The latest? Park Vogel, a line of wispy-light fancy tees created by former graphic designer Julie Park and costume designer Vanessa Vogel. Made from 100 percent cotton crepe, each tee has a unique stretch that accentuates curves while retaining a shape that covers your waist. (Bare midriffs are so five T-shirts ago.) Available in countless colors and styles, they’re not so much a replacement for your tried-and-true tee as a good dress-up alternative.

At least until the next one comes along.

And oh, it will.
