You’d think having a bird-like body and unlimited spending allowance would make finding something to wear easy.
Think again.
Social vixen Tory Burch was so distraught that she couldn’t find a line of resort clothing and accessories affordable and chic enough to accommodate her hectic schedule that she did a mega DIY. She designed a soup-to-nuts fashion and lifestyle collection and opened a boutique to sell it in.
Thus Tory was born.
The line (sold exclusively at her Nolita shop, which sells nothing else) consists of jet-set essentials: reversible cashmere polos and terry-cloth tunics, sweaters, turtlenecks, sharkskin trenches, blazers, gowns, high-heeled espadrilles, loafers, bikinis, beach towels, totes, jewelry, umbrellas, and candles. (Phew! Sounds like someone was so busy sketching she missed a few parties.) Everything comes in her signature T-motif print or clashing two-tone schemes (navy and orange, yellow and green, light blue and brown). It’s all very easy and basic, very see-ya-in-Palm-Beach-this-weekend.
But be forewarned: Garments are cut on the small side.
Shocking, we know.
