Life's Rich Pageant
DIY Pageant Hair

You thought you knew boredom.
Then you looked in the mirror at your flat-ironed head for the gazillionth time and realized that bone-straight hair isn’t just incredibly tedious to accomplish, it’s incredibly tedious to look at.
Good-bye and good riddance to the trend that launched a thousand split ends. Bring on the pageant hair. Not JonBenet-style helmet hair. We’re talking Gisele-strutting-down-the-Victoria’s-Secret-runway hair. It’s sexy. It’s playful. And, yes, it’s big. All you need: five big hot rollers (like mama used to use), some real shea butter, and hair spray (you heard us right). Now:
1. Part your hair into five sections. (Don’t be fussy here.)
2. Hot-roll and spray the sections, and wait a few minutes for them to cool.
3. Take out the rollers, comb your fingers through with a little shea butter, and voila!
Not only are you catwalk ready, but you’ve thrown off the shackles of the tyrannical straight-iron forever.
Or at least until it comes back into fashion.
