Gone Today, Here Tomorrow

Staying ahead of the crowd isn’t your strong point.

By the time you hear about the latest spot, it’s either blockaded by scary, heavily muscled men or overrun with — how do we say — undesirables.

Not this time.

From the team behind Public comes Odea Bar and Lounge (a play on Oda, the island where The Tempest is set), and it’s so brand spanking new that, if you hurry, you may just beat the rush. In the mystical spirit of Shakespeare’s play, the interior features sleek fixtures, gilded mirrors, and dark wooden beams. Oh, and, right-o … the food. The menu features tasty flatbreads with wild mushrooms, foie gras kebabs with tahini and fennel, and fluke ceviche with litchi and purple basil. Specialty drinks like the strawberry mojito and lavender martini deserve mention as well.

Look at you. Ahead of the crowd. Well, at least until next week.
