Going Incognito

You’re a smooth talker. A sharp shooter. You regularly gain access to classified information — and then use it to save the world on a daily basis. (Or at least to boost your social status.)

Nobody ever said being a high-flying top-secret agent was a pretty business.

Next time you’re ready to assume another identity, report to EM Studio Salon to see hairstyling heroes Eliut Rivera and Marco Maranghello and color whiz Michael Casey (all formerly of Oribe). When not catering to celebrities, rock stars, and other nefarious characters, they do sexy cuts, colors, and two kinds of hair extensions: custom-made, detachable and cold-fusion (attached via ultrasonic waves — don’t try to understand this).

Your stylish pixie cut will be transformed into sultry, raven tresses in one fell swoop. Your friends may not recognize you. (Unless you want them to.)

Appropropriately enough, EM’s headquarters are located inconspicuously in a Madison Avenue townhouse. The space is warm, inviting, and sometimes opens as early as 7:30 a.m.

So better book while you can still get in.

This won’t remain a covert operation for long.

EM Studio, 762 Madison Avenue, between 65th and 66th Streets, fifth floor (212-472-3440).
