Jewels favored by royalty have always been a hit with the masses.
But for the best goods, you have to raid the pyramids.
Chicago designer Erin Gallagher is channeling Cleopatra with her latest collection, and the results are truly majestic. The line features extravagant Egyptian-inspired designs made from precious and semi-precious stones like sapphires, rubies, and topaz. Favorites include the gold- and topaz-tiered necklace, dramatic two-and-a-half-inch peridot dangle-drop earrings, a necklace made of brilliant watermelon tourmaline gems cascading into a V, and a stunning blue topaz number for the neck. That last one, incidentally, is named after another historical female powerhouse, Lady Antoinette.
So no matter which style you choose, you can be sure it’s fit for a queen.
