Is there any relationship sweeter than that of stylist and client?
One divulges intimate secrets. The other wields sharp objects wildly close to the face.
No one gets hurt.
And neither one sees the other as often as they should. That may change with a visit to Antonio Prieto’s new salon. Weathered wood, glass tiles, a strip of skylight. So sleek. So handsome. So incredibly warm.
Just like the staff. We popped in on a snowy afternoon and wanted to lounge all day on the white leather couch and watch Antonio work his magic. (Another mammoth cappuccino? Yes, please!)
Another treat? Schedule an appointment through the salon’s apprentice program (all assistants, colorists, and stylists are required to go through it), and your “model cut” is just 40 bucks. You can also score a single-process color for $40, highlights for $70, or both for $110.
They may call it cut and dry, but oh, how sweet it is.
