Many a fine, fine line divides the style world.
Putting your face on a
T-shirt at a kiosk in Valley View Mall?
Not fashion. (Really.
No joke. Take it off.)
But a personalized Portrait Tote by Cykochik for $180? Cute as all get-out. Here’s how it works: E-mail a high-res/high-contrast photo to designer Nikki Duong, she redraws the image on her computer, a stencil is made, and the portrait is hand-cut from your choice of colored vinyl (also used for the bag’s lining). The pieces are then hand sewn onto a classically shaped vinyl bag and voila! Three to five weeks later, you’ve got a new purse.
Choose any picture you want — you, a friend, a boyfriend, your child, your dog. Celebrity photos, however, should be avoided.
For obvious reasons.
Available online at cykochik.com.
