We all have those unexpected cravings.
Cake and ice cream for breakfast. Peanut butter and bologna sandwiches. Ripping the clothes off the Fed Ex guy.
Some even crave complete and utter refinement.
Should you fall into the latter category, sign up for the Art of Festive Floral Arrangements. Led by celebrated local designer Jun Piñon, it’s the perfect outlet for unleashing your inner flower child.
Using seasonal flora (think hydrangeas, orchids, and roses), he covers all the bases: picking the right flowers and appropriate vases, cutting buds from a garden, color combos, texture, putting together everything from budget bouquets to massive centerpieces, and keeping blooms alive longer.
The cost? A mere 69 bucks. The class will be held on July 7 and again on August 25 at The Ritz-Carlton over a delish three-course lunch prepared by exec chef Jean-Pierre Dubray. The menu is still top secret.
But, as we’ve already established, you’re no stranger to the unexpected.
The Ritz-Carlton, 600 Stockton Street, at California Street (415-773-6198).
