Crowning Glory

Gawd, is it just us, or is every Daisy, Trix, and Sally suddenly an indie jewelry designer?

Try complimenting someone on her earrings without getting flashed a business card. Or showing off your new choker without Miss Dangle across the table telling you that you got ripped off.

Good thing there’s nothing predictable about Japan-based jewelry designer Saya Hibino, whose original pieces are copycat-proof. Before launching her collection, she invented a secret recipe for turning antique lace into the wax molds she uses to hand-cast her baubles. The results include unfathomably exquisite metal rings shaped like crowns.

Let’s see the chick across the bar make one of those during Entourage.

So the next time some wannabe designer tries to trash talk your jewelry, you know what to do.

Just give her the finger.
