Hot shoes are to your feet what hot dates are to the rest of you.
Sure, they look good and give you something to talk about, but they cost a bundle, can be a little slow, and invariably leave you in a lot of pain.
Luc Berjen, a London-based label with an uncanny knack for creating distinctive, comfy, up-to-date styles, may be the exception.
The summer line features a slew of wearable wedges like the Aretha, a zigzag-grosgrain T-strap; the Driver, an elegant open-toe suede number adorned with a slender gold bow; and the Della, made from cut-out canvas and leather.
Some wedge soles are made of lightweight cork and feature extra padding in the instep, so they’re comfortable enough to actually walk more than half a block in.
So you may finally make it past the third date.
With your shoes, anyway.
