You’re at the club. You didn’t mean to call anyone out. (You thought you were staring down an old flame.) Yet here you are, being challenged to your very first waking-life dance-off.
Too bad your opponent doesn’t know about choreography instructor Corey Action’s new classes. Because they’re. Officially. On.
First you hit ’em with an eight-count straight out of BeyoncĂ©’s VMA performance. (You picked this up while Action sung her praises, dreads flying, during a predawn session at Dance 101.)
You cha-cha, pivot, stomp, and rock with such flair that a crowd member mistakes you for a Nelly Furtado backup dancer. (You mastered it all earlier today in class, as a mixed-down version of Furtado’s latest single pounded in the background.)
In no time, the crowd is on their feet. Autographs are signed. (Well, okay. Just this once.) Advice is solicited. (Actually, you can catch him at Gotta Dance Studio in Buckhead and The Studio Atlanta Dance in Vinings, too.)
And even your competition is forced to laud your superior talents.
Take that, Mr. Federline.
Corey Action (404-349-6077 or coreyaction@aol.com).
