You’re a regular Pavlov’s dog, aren’t you.
Not two episodes into the new season of Project Runway, you’re already salivating over who’s going to be the next Wendy Pepper.
Spare yourself the disappointment (they’re all evil) and head over to Project Make. The clever DIY class for high school kids takes its cue from the reality show and assigns students a new challenge — like redoing a pair of vintage shoes, bridesmaid dress, or even their own clothing based on a picture of something totally unrelated to fashion (like lilacs or a mountain) — every morning.
At the end of the day, masterpieces — created with the help of Make’s talented staff — are judged on functionality and wearability by one of the boutique’s interns. The winner’s then featured in Make’s September runway show.
So why is your mouth watering? Easy: Adult classes are in the works for fall. We’re just giving you the info early.
Because it’s time someone threw you a bone.
Make, 2632 Thomas Avenue, Uptown (214-256-3061 or themakesite.com). Class runs July 31-August 4, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
