Go Clubbing

At 5, it was Brownies; at 10, sticker collecting; at 20, books. You’ve certainly joined a few clubs in your time.

Here’s a new one: The Club Bar & Dining, a brasserie-style restaurant that opens today on Warwick Street. The comfort food served here comes with a sophisticated twist: boiled eggs with brioche soldiers for breakfast; lobster club sandwiches, roast chicken, T-bone steak and crab cakes, followed by strawberries and chocolate cake for lunch and dinner.

The lounge bar downstairs serves finger food and post-work cocktails like the signature Clubtini, a mix of pear vodka, poached pears and pink champagne. The interior is deep and dark, with a fireplace, wood flooring and leather armchairs.

Best of all, you don’t have to be a member to enter this particular club.

And there’s nary a dog turd-coloured acrylic uniform in sight.
