The quest for the Holy Grail (a la da Vinci) landed Robert Langdon in the Rosslyn Chapel. And although he didn’t walk away with mystical powers, he certainly didn’t leave empty handed.
And you won’t either, when you make a pilgrimage to Roslyn. The new Bucktown spot, opening Friday, caters to women on the hunt for the latest fashion secrets (with a wisely placed boyfriend rack for your accomplice to peruse the likes of Nicholas K, Milton Carter, and Filson while you get to work).
Owner Rosie Dulyapaibul just moved back from NYC and brought some of her favorite designers along: tunic and baby doll dresses from Parsons grad Miranda Bennett, one-of-a-kind hand-dyed pieces from Brooklyn’s Liz McClean, Christopher Deane, Lynne Larson, Julie Haus, and bags by Andrea Bruckner, to name a few.
Each collection is showcased on its own rack with a framed bio to let you know all about the designer and his or her vision. Plus, Dulyapaibul buys only one size run of each style, which means once the small is gone, it’s gone for good.
And the search continues.
Roslyn, 2035 North Damen Avenue, between McLean and Dickens Avenues (773-489-1311).
