When it comes to wine, you’ve got standards.
For example, the last time you caught someone slurping Chablis directly from the box’s spigot, you were appalled. (Everyone knows you should use a plastic cup.)
Okay, so maybe you could benefit from some help from Josh Radigan and Nathan Anda, the chef/sommelier team from Tallula Restaurant. The duo offers private wine instruction during which they’ll teach you everything from the difference between sangiovese and tempranillo to why you should avoid ’02 Rhônes.
Classes can be conducted in your own kitchen or at the restaurant’s adjacent wine shop, Planet Wine. Just give them your request for varietal, style, or region and pick from a list of seasonal dishes (like local goat cheese ravioli and hen-of-the-woods mushrooms). They’ll get to work teaching you how to distinguish the good stuff from swill, which characteristics are unique to a given type, and the best ways to drink it.
Our advice: Start with a glass.
