Riding the Coattails

Originality
n. The quality or state of being original. (I’ve seen at least fifteen people wearing that coat. Newbury Street has totally lost its originality.)

It’s bad enough that we spend the winter months hidden beneath unflattering layers of Gore-Tex and faux fur. Do we all have to look alike, too?

Time to pick up a coat of a different color. Artists John and Linda Meyers designed our favorite: a made-to-order number (like a sculpture, really) with oversize pockets, a functionally fashionable hood, and big buttons with your city-dwelling self in mind. It comes in either cream or light gray: surely a step above your otherwise black-on-black winter look.

But don’t stop there. Commission the Portland, Maine, duo to build you a reconstructed denim skirt, one-of-a-kind pet portrait, or family crest. Their fantastical Beatrix Potter-esque work is completely original.

Giving you a good reason to redefine yourself.
