After vowing to go organic, your social life took a nosedive. (No one wants to date a picky turnip eater.) What you need is the self-help section — or a natural dining establishment.
Like Crust, Wicker Park’s newest organic pizzeria. Everything — from the flour in its flaky, ciabatta-like flatbreads (cooked in wood-burning ovens) to the decor — is strictly green.
In addition to pizza, the ecoloving menu includes milkshakes, martinis, sandwiches, and salads. Why not enjoy them on the lovely, lush outdoor patio? So much closer to nature.
Chef/owner Michael Altenberg (Bistro Campagne) sources his goods from local purveyors. So the Mexicali Blues flatbread with wood-fired prawns and Chihuahua cheese is a nod to both your neighbor and your tummy.
Now everyone will want to hang out with you. See? This whole organic diet thing is a piece of cake.
But you’ll take the pie.
Crust, 2056 West Division Street, at Hoyne Avenue (773-235-5511).
