Give up? Okay: We’ve set our sights on Herff Christiansen’s reinvention of the classic tank. This version shuns the typical cotton in favor of soft French terry and replaces the tired old neckline with fancy ruching to create a sweet, billowy look.

At the moment, the tank comes only in three neutral colors (black, tan, and gray) and two catch-all sizes (small/medium or medium/large). But it’s just the first piece from the label — created by two designers who met while attending business school at the University of Texas — so expect to see more unique items that are sure to become wardrobe standouts.

Any of which should make getting dressed less of a guessing game.
