There ain’t no business like show business.
Especially when it involves kick lines, jazz hands, and impromptu duets.
All of which will be part of your reaction to Florodora, a brand new South Loop boutique named after an old Broadway hit.
The musical comedy — famous for its sextet of adorable (and adored) chorus line dancers — inspires a sunny boutique with some showstopping numbers in the clothing, accessories, and housewares department. Located in a historic, 19th-century building, it’ll make you feel like you’re visiting the days of yore.
Edgy jackets from Shin Choi hang next to tunics from Nougat London, and Sofada pieces for spring meet locally made letterpressed stationery and chocolate-covered sunflower seeds. Lingerie from Clo and Joƫlle Nadine handbags round out the accessories.
There’s also a carefully edited selection of home accents like vintage-inspired hook rugs and coffee table books that’ll jazz up any blah apartment.
Feel free to do a little song and dance.
Florodora, 330 South Dearborn Street, at Jackson Boulevard (312-212-8860).
