Dude, That’s So Etchy

They say it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind.

Swap that vanilla latte for a mocha? Done. Paint the living room blue instead of yellow? Totally your call.

Amanda Siska knows a thing or two about changing her mind. The 24-year-old amateur tattoo artist-turned-shoe salesperson quit both jobs to start her own glass-etching company, Bread and Badger.

Now she scours craft and thrift stores for vintage vases, shot glasses, and colored candle holders in onyx, cobalt blue, or pale pink. Then, using her artist’s eye, she freehands whimsical designs — stars, anchors, flowers, sea creatures — and ink-inspired skull and crossbones or hearts swathed with “mom” banners.

Each glass piece is one of a kind, so you can be sure you’re expressing your true self.

No matter who that is today.
