It seemed so innocent. A borrowed blouse. A “lost” skirt. And then, the ultimate betrayal from her dearest friend — stolen style identity.
Was she too trusting? Perhaps. But she refuses to be a fashion victim. She will get her revenge.
There’s no better place for her to start than Bonnie & Clyde’s, new to Wicker Park. Boutique meets gallery in a narrow, runwayesque space filled with exclusive lines (Cosa Nostra by Jeffrey Sebelia, Faith Connexion, Angela Johnson), jewelry, and graphic art (everything on the walls is for sale).
She heads to the lounge and chases an espresso with champagne, careful to leave no trace of lipstick on the glass. Next, to the parlor, where she keeps a low profile among art books and heady videos on a 46-inch flat-screen.
She picks up a one-of-a-kind bag from Vlieger & Vandam before she flies the coop.
After all, she’ll need an accessory for her crime.
Bonnie & Clyde’s, 1751 West Division Street, at Wood Street (773-235-2680).
