Busy Rhodes

When you were a wee’un, you got into a rut regarding food.

And now that you’re big? Well, you’ve swapped ketchup for soy sauce, but you still eat the same thing day after day.

Broaden your horizons with a trip to Rhodes W1 Restaurant, the posher sibling of Rhodes W1 Brasserie in The Cumberland hotel. Launched by restaurateur Gary Rhodes and helmed by head chef Brian Hughson, the new spot offers top-notch Modern British and Classical French cuisine.

Choose pressed foie gras or warm scallops for starters and you’re on the right path to puddings like cherry trifle or poached meringues, with stops along the way for entrees like salt-roast squab or steamed turbot. The interior, designed by Kelly Hoppen, is just as tasteful, with crystal chandeliers, linen tablecloths and antique chairs.

If it sounds like enough to make you reject future food fatigue, take the risk.

Because it could well be your Rhodes to recovery.
