There was a time when hiding beer cans in your pockets was acceptable behavior (around the same time you were considering a butterfly tattoo). There’s no need to stash your Stellas anymore, but you still enjoy B-ingYOB (or W). Here are three restaurants that will happily bust out the corkscrew.
At A (4582 Northeast 2nd Avenue, Miami; 305-572-9902), Blue and Marc Solomon, owners of the homey organic restaurant, will spike your Coke with Grey Goose with a smile, and even throw in a hug, free of charge.
On Mondays, French favorite Pascal’s on Ponce (2611 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Coral Gables; 305-444-2024) gives the week’s least popular day a boost by hosting BYOB night and waiving corkage fees.
Finally, head south, cooler of Dos Equis in tow, and settle in for an authentic Mexican meal at family-owned El Toro Taco (1 South Krome Avenue, Homestead; 305-245-8182), where local mariachis are likely to pop in.
Salud to that.
