Second Home

Oh, look: there’s Des O’Connor kissing the maitre d’, Timmy Mallett with a cocktail and (wow, could it really be?) Mark Curry eating a pizza.

Mark who?

Next time you want a restaurant that’s patronised by serious A-listers, head to La Petite Maison, which has just opened courtesy of Arjun Waney, owner of Zuma and Roka (which means it’s très chaud).

The walls of this establishment won’t be plastered with cheesy signed photographs, but judging by the clientele of LPM’s original site in Nice (that’s Bono, Elton, Roger Moore and Rod Stewart), there’ll be plenty to gawp at.

Mediterranean food comes from head chef Raphael Duntoye: expect warm prawns with olive oil, or baked langoustines, followed by salt-crusted sea bass or roast chicken with foie gras. There’s pistachio souffle and sorbet for pudding and, bien sur, beaucoup de vin.

As far as stars go, this one will boast quite a few.

What a great spot.
