Hits the Spot

From today’s RecipeCentral Chatroom:

User 1: How exactly do you make empinadas (sp?)? Specifically, the dough for the crust? I’ve been craving them all week. Any help you can give is appreciated!

User 2: First, learn how to spell. It’s “empanada.”

User 1: Ugh. Okay, now what about that dough?

User 2: Too much trouble. Get offline and head to that new cafe, The Spotted Apron. Pick up a spinach and feta empanada and you’ll get the gist. Or try the ham and manchego cheese panini or an alfajor, a cookie sandwich from Argentina. They have brilliant cupcakes, too, like the red velvet with vanilla mascarpone frosting.

User 1: Sounds indulgent.

User 2: And better than you can do. Their ingredients, like El Rey chocolate from Venezuela, are nothing you’d keep in your cupboard. And it’s a cute space all covered in polka dots.

User 1: Great! So, forget the recipe?

User 2: Need me to spell it out for you?
