A Lace for Everything

You’re not the biggest fan of the “everything in moderation” mantra.

Unfortunately, your tendency to throw discretion to the wind has led to some serious fashion foibles: the summer of head-to-toe animal print, cowgirl overload freshman year, and Lace Fest 2003.

If it’s dainty trim you’re after, ditch the doily dress and invest in a few pieces by Diane Samandi.

The grandniece of a silent film actress and granddaughter of a fashion illustrator, Samandi is inspired by the feminine glamour of old Hollywood. She has recently added clothing to her lingerie line, which she’s been doing for almost three decades, and it maintains hints of her unmentionables.

All pieces are accented with subtle lace trim, including the delicate camisole-style tops in feisty teal and magenta and the silky, multipatterned dresses, which manage to pull off bohemian without a hint of granola.

Unlike your Birkenstock/Mexican poncho phase.
