So you think you can dance?
But can you sew?
Give a deep curtsy to Hannah Kurland, who’s got the kind of needle and thread prowess you’d kill to give a whirl. The owner of vintage mecca Marmalade has an enviable collection of lightly worn designer scarves she uses to stitch together empire-waist shift dresses that are dance-floor ready.
Every floaty frock is made from three or four long silk scarves that are sexy without being see-through. She’ll placate label whores with Hermès prints, artsy types with organic modernist patterns, and girly girls with billowy silhouettes. There’s a little something for every lady.
Have you seen that move before?
